3D Artist & Pipeline-Focused Asset Developer

High-quality 3D assets sit at the intersection of technical precision and visual storytelling. Whether for real-time applications or cinematic rendering, the challenge is not just creating something that looks good — it’s creating something that holds up under scrutiny from every angle, lighting condition, and use case.
This body of work explores a range of assets — from hard surface vehicles and props to fully composed environments — with a focus on material realism, surface wear, and lighting behavior. Each piece is built with the intent to feel grounded in reality, while still being flexible enough to perform across different platforms and pipelines.
The goal wasn’t just visual fidelity. It was consistency — creating assets that behave predictably, scale efficiently, and integrate cleanly into larger systems.
Approach
A physically-based approach to modeling, texturing, and lighting — prioritizing realism, modularity, and cross-platform usability from the start.

Every asset begins with real-world reference and material study. Instead of relying on stylization, the process focuses on how surfaces actually behave — how paint chips, how metal oxidizes, how rubber wears over time.
Modeling is built with clean topology and real-world scale in mind, ensuring assets are both visually accurate and technically sound. Texturing follows a PBR workflow, with layered detail that adds depth without unnecessary complexity.
Lighting and rendering play an equally critical role. Assets are tested across multiple environments — studio setups, outdoor lighting, and high-contrast scenarios — to ensure they remain believable and consistent regardless of context.
Equally important is optimization. Assets are designed to balance quality with performance, making them viable for both real-time engines and high-end renders without requiring rework.
Outcome
The finished site does something rare in e-commerce: it earns attention rather than demanding it. The brand's commitment to sustainability and craft comes through not in copy but in the experience itself — in the care taken over every detail of the interface.
Bloom & Root now has a digital home that matches the integrity of its products. Customers don't just shop — they spend time there. And that distinction makes all the difference.
Reflection
This work reinforced that realism isn’t achieved through complexity alone — it comes from understanding how things exist in the real world and translating that into a controlled, repeatable process.
The biggest shift was thinking beyond individual assets and focusing on systems. Every decision — from topology to texture resolution to lighting — impacts how an asset performs at scale.
That perspective carries forward into larger pipeline work: building assets that don’t just look good in isolation, but function reliably as part of something bigger.
